She says, “My work with families has been a beautiful journey, walking with them as they discover that their child has special needs, helping assess those needs, and together creating a plan of action. I am now working in Craniosacral Therapy, and continue to offer Occupational Therapy services through Parent Coaching and advising services.
Parent coaching is my passion, as a child’s needs are best met through the actions of the parent, and less so through hands-on actions of a therapist. Through teaming with parents on assessment and treatment of their child’s challenges, parents find that they are capable of advocating for their child, and are the expert in determining those needs.
I believe that all parents are healers. I believe children choose their parents. My work is to help parents feel their own competence, and grow into the parent they want to be.”
